I've been doing a lot of cross stitching lately, but I haven't done anything with them after I've finished stitching. One night while I was reading Faye's blog,
Carolina Stitcher, I realized that she does finishes for others. So we chatted, and I sent off two stitcheries to see what she would come up with. And this is what I received back in the mail today!

a wee little cushion |
Aren't they wonderful? I've stitched a lot of Christmas ornaments this year, and now I'm venturing into other holidays and seasons. I like having a small project in my purse to work on during my lunch hour, or in waiting rooms, etc. Faye would like to create a finish for you, too, so pay her a visit.
My most recent projects are secret, so here's a tiny little peek, and the rest will be revealed in a couple of weeks.
On to some bigger projects soon........Sunny
Sunny, wow! Faye has done a gorgeous job with your work. I am green with envy, I love that needlebook!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh I have some stitcher is etc that need to be turned into a finished project!!
ReplyDeleteLove your work
Very cute. Faye does wonderful finishing. I miss x-stitch so much but I simply can't see it anymore. :-( Yours is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea - to finish people's stitcheries for them. You have done a lovely job of the stitching, and she has done a wonderful job of getting them to the next stage for you. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like to carry a project with me too and I know what you mean about finishing them. It can be a challenge. Your projects turned out really cute.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet that she made those out of your stitchings. :) Love them. Cool bridge, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is an interesting idea. I often do the stitching and then just put it aside. Never thought of someone else finishing it.
ReplyDeleteLove the end result with both your projects. How smart you are to do this!
What a great way to get those projects finished. Beautiful job Faye...
ReplyDeleteHmm wonder what you are working oon???
That's a beautiful bridge photo! The needle book and pincushion look great!
ReplyDeleteI met Faye back in July. What a fun, creative person. I think cross-stitch is the hardest thing to finish. Not the stitching but turning it in to something. Great job to both of you!
ReplyDeleteGreat finishes on the stitcheries. That is such a good idea.
ReplyDeleteI love them, especially the second piece!
ReplyDeleteOh those really turned out great. And so useful too!
ReplyDeleteIt was a joy to finish your wonderful stitched pieces! Please do call on me again....
