The Weatherman was Wrong. Again.

The weatherman predicted rain on Saturday.  Showers in the morning and thunder storms in the afternoon.  So we made no plans to go kayaking.  And we certainly don't need to do any more shopping.  Did it rain?  Nope.  Nada.  Not a drop.  So I had time to do some stitching.  I worked on a little of this:

And a little of this:

and some of this:

We even tried a new recipe for dinner, and it's a keeper.  If you have access to some zuchinni, (and who doesn't this time of year) and some fresh herbs, you'll want to give this a try.
Just for the record, it did finally rain on Sunday - at 8:00 pm.  Another wasted outdoor day.  Lucky for me, I have plenty of indoor activities to keep me busy!

Keep on stitching.....Sunny

  1. Don't you wish you could have a job where you were wrong so often? Glad the rains finally came for you. The stitching looks wonderful.

  3. Just as well you do have the indoor hobbies, Sunny - but a shame all the same that you couldn't get out.
I'm intrigued to see what the last stitching project is, it looks very interesting. Hope you have a good week!

  4. Well no rain here but it is just too hot to be outdoors. I too worked on some hexies. Can't wait to see more of that black and white project.

  5. Sounds like our weather. We followed the radar last Thursday as a big green swatch came up from the south hoping for much needed rain. As it neared our little town, it broke up and went around. Not a drop and boy could we have used it!

  6. That recipe sounds yummie...I've got to try it as soon as my zucchini is ready. It's so dry here that when we were weeding the garden yesterday it was so dry we were getting dust...not good.

  10. I just commented on another blog that I'm starting to forget what rain sounds like! Oh how I long for rain. I'm feeling as parched as the earth. I'm sorry you missed kayaking because of the weatherman, but it looks like you got a lot done! Such pretty stitching!
