It's Sunday, the football play-off's are on, I have a cup of chai tea and some stitching in my lap. Does it get any better?
If you're visiting from Cheryl's blog, to see what I accomplished for FNWF, I didn't get any stitching done. We had family from out of town, and had a big dinner gathering that lasted much later than I thought. It's all good. I'll stitch double next time.
If you're visiting from Stitching By the Lake, welcome to the neighborhood. I blog about quilting, cross stitch, crocheting, cats, and my travels. I hope you'll see something you like, and become a regular visitor.
I normally have pictures, and I took several this afternoon to show you what I'm working on. But blogger won't let me add pictures today. I guess that means I can't even prove that I've been stitching, but I have. I'm currently working on a redwork cross stitch that I started about a year ago. It will be beautiful, and I have one small section to finish, and then a pretty border. I will probably turn it into a wall hanging when it's done.
My old stand-by project is a ripple afghan that I started back in September. It's a great project for travel or low lighting situations, or when I just don't want to concentrate very hard on something. Both of these projects are long-term WIP's, and they should get finished in 2013

I'm also doing some applique and embroidery on my little quilt for The Name Game Swap #2. My goal is to have it finished by the end of January. Unfortunately, I had to make my own, because my partner ran into some life issues. If you're reading this, partner, I hope things are looking up!!
I'll close with a quote that appeared in my inbox this morning.
Quote of the Day
"Three things in human life are
important. The first is to be kind. The second is to be kind. The third is to
be kind."

I have to admit, I'm not feeling very kindly towards Blogger right now.
Sunny
Have you been kind to someone today?
edited: A day later, the IT guy (DH) switched me to Mozilla at Roxanne's suggestion, and we have pictures!!
I some days do hate the computer too--they keep adding more steps for me to get where I want to go--thought it was suppose to be the other way around--suppose to get faster and quicker and easier!!!
ReplyDeleteI finally broke down and bought more space for my photos!!!!
Have a great week--
Hugs love, Di and miss gracie
Seems lots of people are having issues with blogger these days . Sounds like you are keeping busy , can't wait to see your cross stitch :-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your projects and I hope Blogger sorts out its photo issues!
ReplyDeleteAnother blogger that I follow was also having problems uploading pictures to blogger. She found that when she switched to Mozilla instead of using Internet Explorer she was back up and running.
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling particularly venomous towards someone today, so merci for the quote...I needed it!

Ooh, I just love ripples, my favorite afghan to make because it's basically a mindless repetition that I can do when I'm brain dead for the day. LOL
ReplyDeleteBlogger isn't allowing to post too many places this morning so I hope this comment gets through.
Well I hope blogger stops hiccuping, seems like a lot of folks are having trouble. Good to see you posting though!
ReplyDeleteLove your ripple afghan - is there a pattern online? So glad you can post photos again! xxx
ReplyDeleteHeavens you have a lot going on! I know several people have had trouble with blogger this week - I think every once in a while it has a PMS week or something. :) blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you're back up and able to post your photos - great projects! I've seen several others who switched to Firefox and solved their blogger problem, so hopefully it's a one-time glitch for you.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from StitchinByTheLake
Hi, Sunny! I'm so glad you found a workaround for your blogging issues. I also have been struggling with it and had to resort to going to the http tab before getting it to work.
ReplyDeleteHTTR, and Happy stitching from a fellow Marylander!
ReplyDeleteHey Sunny, Glad to see you are up and running now with picutes. The cat applique sure is cute. I guess you were kind to blogger as you didn't throw your computer out the window. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sunny,
ReplyDeleteBlogger does that sometimes. I wonder why. I love your ripple afghan, I've just began one myself but It's growing very slowly, I might not finish it this year.
Hugs,
Teresa
Howdy neighbor!

Just hopped over from Stitchin by the Lake and I really enjoyed my visit. I, too, was having a problem loading my pictures with blogspot, but then I loaded them up to my Picassa and it let me put them on the post. Thanks for sharing with us.
