Dawn, over at As Sweet as Cinnamon has asked how/why we named our blog what we did. I decided to play along and tell you all about the exciting meaning of the name 'Quilting Dreams'. A couple of years before I actually started my blog, I thought I was about to lose my job, and I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish while I was out of work. Starting a blog was on that list. Fortunately, I found a great job and never had that downtime to accomplish things. So one day a couple of years later, I was reading blogs, and decided just to see how easy it was. In a matter of about 60 seconds, I had a blog! I wasn't really prepared for that, and gave it the goofy name of Quilting Dreams. No thought process at all. I was a very new quilter, and most of the blogs that I read were quilting blogs. I really wish I could go back and do it over, but I won't. If I did, it would probably have "sunflower" or "black-eyed Susan" in the name.
counting my blessings.....Sunny
LOL - you are such a hoot! I did the same thing, just decided one night to give it a go. I like the name of your blog, hon!
ReplyDeleteI've always liked the name of your blog. Sometimes impulse is great as is your blog!
ReplyDeleteI think it is a great name and definitely has more pizzaz than my name !
ReplyDeleteI've done the same except I can't seem to get the hang of it as easily (ie pretty backgrounds and the litte buttons on the side) Its frustrating! Any tips?!
ReplyDeleteHind-sight is always 20/20. I was hasty in naming my sewing blog too. I took the easy route. It is what it is.
ReplyDeleteI followed the link to Dawn's blog and spent the better part of the day hopping around reading all the posts....so I added my name to the list too.
Still in town because "they" would not allow me to fly because I am sick. sigh
Nice story...funny how we get our blog names!
ReplyDeleteLOL Like you Sunny I never out a lot of thought into the name ogf my blog BUT I am happy with it.
ReplyDeleteWell regardless of how you came up with the name for your blog I like it. And it's funny how these names pop into you head when you have to have them. :D
ReplyDeleteCount your blessings....and dream on.... Thanks for your story.
