Mail Call :-) and Friday the 13th :-(

Oh My!  Look at this absolutely amazing basket block that I got from Vickie!

As usual, I had a hard time capturing the colors, but believe me when I say it is beautiful, and exactly what I was hoping for!  Thanks so much Vickie.

I also received this 1/4 yard piece of fabric in the mail.  You have no idea how excited I was with this.
As you may recall, I decided to add an additional border to my Christmas quilt, and was unable to locate any of the fabric locally.  So off to the sewing room I went, anxious to finish the border.

Happy Friday the 13th to me:

Guess what I did the rest of the afternoon!

  2. Sunny! Me and my seam ripper have become very good friends lately, too. I cannot find it sometimes and I panic.... I need to invest in several more! Happy you found your fabric and I love, love, love your new swap block!

  4. Why you don't need to 'frog' that--you have just created a new block design!!!!
    I manage to do alot of 'frogging' too--on the quilting and the cross stitching end of things==!!!!

    Oh I have done that before with quilt blocks. Trust me!! LOL I'm glad I'm not the only one that has happened to. I carry my seam ripper at the hip!!

  9. It always makes me giggle when I see pieces sewn in the wrong place. I use to think "how on earth can they make that mistake".... now I know!!! I am sure that is how some new blocks have been created. Wow I love your basket block, very creative. Hugs
